Name: Joe Thomassen
From: Alabama, USA
Pipe: Chacom billiard
Tobacco: Captain Black Blue
Joe's Comment: Warmest greetings to all my pipesmoking bretheren! I've been a devoted pipeman for 25 years. This photo was taken near my hunting camp in the Alabama woods. The Chacom was one of many French pipes I purchased on a pilgrimage to St. Claude, France in 1992. It was an eleven hour train trip from Toulouse but well worth the travel time!

Name: Jeff Folloder
From: TX, USA
Pipe: A Dunhill ODA TLY in Shell finish (no one has been able to tell me what TLY stands for, but this is, essentially, a huge 5102).
Tobacco: Mr. Alfred's Own from the London shop
Jeff's Comment: The picture is about a year and a half old and falsely portrays a more youthful appearance than I actually have today. I now sport a goatee that is decidedly gray. In any event, I raise a wee dram of Scotch in honor of pipe smokers everywhere!

Name: Johan Slabbert
From: South Africa
Pipe: An "Oom Paul" type, wild olive and created by myself

Name: John Davis
From: OK, USA
Pipe: Pre-Republic Peterson Shamrock Billiard
Tobacco: State Express Roundels
John's Comment: This is a picture of me (guess which one) and our close family friend Eddie Lavers from Waltham Abby, taken on our trip to England in May. We were in Kendal visiting the Gawith Hoggarth factory. During that trip the merchants kept speaking English to us . I suppose the hat and pipe made me look more English than American. They say England and America are two countries separated by a common language.

Name: Kito Grova
From: Portugal
Pipe: K&F Peterson
Tobacco: Best of Show”, McClelland
Kito's Comment: My name is Kito Grova and I am Portuguese 48 years old. Maybe I am the last of the pipe smoking Portuguese, because I know absolutely no one else who does it in my country. Sometimes I feel kind of lonely.
In the photo I was visiting Caroline (my princess) in the US. It was taken in Virginia Beach in February of 2005 with my back to the Ocean. The Pipe is my favourite Classic Shape K&F Peterson and I was smoking “Best of Show” from McClelland which I had bought in Charlottesville a few days earlier.

Name: Marcio U. Bragaglia
From: Florianopolis, Brazil
Pipe: JOBERT freehand, specially designed by Johan Slabbert.
Tobacco: Rattray's Marlin Flake.
Marcio's Comment: This photo was taken at my study room at home, while I was reading Umberto Eco's "Como se fa una tesi de laurea", getting ready for my next one. I'm a huge fan of classic english and balkan blends, but a high quality VA flake like Marlin is just great for slow smoking while reading and thinking. It smokes great in this amazing Jobert pipe.
